Has anyone else had the shift cable so packed with snow that you can't shift to any gear.???

situation: driving in deep snow (bumper deep) coyote hunting for several miles. stopped and couldn't shift out of drive. had to leave the truck running with park brake on while we hunted...then got back to real roads and 1 hour later ...shifted ok.

dealer said...."HUH??? never heard of that happening"

what is the solution? (other than NOT driving in deep snow!*#$)???

Had same problem here after wet-icy snowstorm. Dealer said "3rd one today". Parked it in warm garage.. next morning fine.

Be careful using the e-brake in snow/ice.It'll freeze up too.

I've had the same problem a few times on my d/max. I've seen it on a friends superduty also. The worst part is crawling under the truck in snow to clear it out.
