Just purchased a 2000 3500HD, the truck is carrying a lot of weight (Aerial lift, enclosed steel body) is it common for the front wheels to only use five lugs?All my other bucket trucks have had 8 lugs, makes me wonder. BTW great forum, spent the day reading up on my truck.

I work for the local telephone company. All of our bucket trucks are either 1 ton or the new Kodiak 4500. All of them use 8 lug wheels.

those 5 studs are quite a bit larger than the 8 studs our 3/4 and 1 ton trucks have though..I would think you would have no trouble
