on my new 05 K2500, the front hood jumps up and down when I'm cruising down the road, and hit minor bumps. You can hook a finger under the front lip of the hood, and move it up and down maybe 1/4". Can this be adjusted out on the hood latch, or is that just what the D/Maxes do?

Adjust the rubber bump stops under the hood. Screw them out till they touch the bottom of the hood and take up the slack.

Hood Shake Fix

Before you readjust the rubber hood stops, unscrew them all the way out and find a nut that will screw onto the threads. After you've reinstalled them and adjusted the hood, lock the nuts down (jam nut) or you'll be readjusting your hood every thousand miles.

A bug shield helps too, for some reason.

Take it to your dealer and tell him you want it fixed under warranty.

Mine does the same and I tried adjusting the bump stops and when I got it snug you could stand back and look at one side and it looked uneven. So I just said f*&% it and dealt with it. Although it is kinda annoying. Maybe my hood is warped too? BTW it has a deflecter on it and it didn't help mine.
