Just wanted to thank all the posters re: dirty rear diff. oil, or low rear diff. oil on a new vehicle. Just finished my first service on my 06 Duramax/6 speed Allison, short box extra cab 4x4. Sure enough, low rear diff. fluid, and dirty. Many thanks for all the info.
