I get this strange popping feel whenever I turn the steering wheel and it seems to be getting worse. It happens mostly when I turn right at slower speeds but it also happens going left though not as much. Is this caused by the steering shaft?

I had the same thing in my 03 Tahoe. Took it to the dealer and they lubed the steering shaft and its all better. Steering even feels a little tighter. I'm starting to get that same sound/feeling in my truck, but not bad enough to take it in yet. I'll have them look at it when I'm in for the next oil change.

I have the same issues, my truck has 8500 miles. I know it's under warrantee, but I'd rather do the intermediate shaft lube myself. It would be more work to make to truck "dealer friendly".

Just had mine done by dealership it was still coverd. I had 28000 miles. There is a good illistration in the how to if you want to do it your self. The kit cost 15.00
