Hi all,
Again, apologies for the delays in releasing this.
The current status is the 'in development' version of the software contains some new features that will mean a FULL update must be downloaded as it will make older versions of certain file incompatible (not tun or log files).
Although many of the enhancements scheduled for the next release are orientated around gas motors (such as the RTACS), we have also been working on more stable communications when aftermarket entertainment devices are being used.
Some manufacturers have told us the units MUST be isolated prior to flashing, there is nothing we can do about that, but the changes added should at a minimum help out some of you. I personally would not like to have to pull a fuse before I use the software, so you can be assured development in this area will maintain a high priority. We get very few complaints about the reading / programming not working on stock trucks, so in our impending release we have been looking hard at the problems with the XM adapters etc.
We also hope to have LMM access very soon, so depending on the development time involved for the LMM it may also make it into the next release too. This release however will still not include the 6speed Allison TCM programming.
In the new software the DSP2 & DSP5 O.S's are upgraded in a simple process that takes less than a minute to go from a stock tune to a DSP2 or 5 with all the new tables populated. It's all done via some scripting and of course we need to test and verify all the new scripts. (See screen shot).
I have also rewritten the full flash code to help eliminate the frozen oil life counter on some LB7's, most of the problem occurs when going from 2004 back to a 2002 etc. I just said to the beta testers last night that I flashed one here about 10 times with all sorts of combinations from 2004 to 2002, back up to 2003 down to 2001 without any problems occurring. They will put it through it's paces soon.
This will also mean that EFILive is the only solution to reprogramming a 2003/4 ECM back to a 2001 etc, if you do it with TIS it totally locks the ECM
.
So hang tight, as the switch mounts start to ship it should all fall in to place nicely time wise.
Cheers,
Ross
