hi i installed a true flow intake today... and it told me to take of the exhaust Box ( it says 6.6 diesel on it?) anyone know what it does, and is it better to keep it on or off?
they gave me a rubber plug to put it in place of the box??
It's not really exhaust. It's the intake resonator, and has that chamber to smooth intake flow resonance on the turbo intake. If you are changing out the OEM airbox and filter for an aftermarket setup, I would say that you no longer need the resonator and definitely want to plug that hole to prevent drawing unfiltered air into your turbo.
