Evolution Died Again!!

My Evo completely died a couple of weeks ago. A couple of days later, the screen stated to flash on every so often and would say that the external memory needed reflashed. I contacted Edge and we tried to fix it online. After several attempts by the tech sevices guy he decided to send me a new unit. The next day I thought "what the heck?" and tried again. This time it worked fine. I went ahead and installed the new unit and cable and sent the old unit back because I figured that there might be an internal problem that would cause it to die again. Low and behold, the new unit died today!! I updated it online hoping that would fix it. Still no power to the unit in the truck. I checked the fuse and it is fine.
So.........does anyone have a suggestion?
Could there be some sort of glitch in the electrical system on the truck that could be causing it? I have had the EVO in my truck for several months and it has never given me any trouble.
Anything on the truck I should check?

Looks like it is caused by a bad EGT probe. I remembered another thread where the EGT probe was teh problem. I unplugged mine and the EVO came back on. I guess I need to give Edge a call in the morning. This will be my third or fourth probe.

That sucks, so far I've been lucky I'm still on the original probe. At least Edge is good about replacing them.

Just a thought. I have always used an Autometer Pyrometer in addition to my EVO and never had a probe fail after 3 years. I understand if you dont want anymore external gauges though.

All taken care of. I should get a new probe next week.
The Technical Service and Customer Service Departments at Edge are second to none!!
