I am getting 13 in town on level 2....I have about 10k on truck now. Even when I go on the highway the highest I see is 15 something. Most people are not seein a MPG increase. I would hand calculate it if I were you.

I have not seen any increase in lvl 1 so far.

I email Edge about this and the response I got was that they actually seen the best mpg increase was in lvl 2. Seems kind of stupid that the manual says that lvl 1 is designed for maximun mpg.
I informed Edge that there were multiple other people also reporting no increase on lvl 1 and she said that she would forward this info to their developement team.

I'm pretty sure I lost about .5-1 mpg on lvl 1. I tested it for about a month with easy driving.
I just hope Edge updates their lvl 1 setting.

I have tested Level 1 and Level 2 over the last 3 weeks. I have not downloaded Level 3 as of yet. I have seen as high as 22mpg with a tailwind and 18.5 with a headwind.
Level 1 gave me .5mpg increase. DIC was .4mpg more than Hand Calc.
Level 2 gave me 2mpg increase. DIC was .4mpg more than Hand Calc.
Everyone is indicating big changes between the DIC and Hand Calculations; however, mine seems to be close (.4mpg) These are actual numbers not fabricated or estimated. Take it for what its worth.

Are you running the lastest Beta version on your EVO? I'm just trying to see if theres a difference between versions.

FWIW
My DIC shows around 0.5 mpg more than hand calculated on lvl 2.

Interesting on the differences! Sounds like cowdoc is about in the same boat as I. I believe mine is dated 11/29/2006 Ver 2. I can look tomorrow for sure, but I think that is correct. Does that sound right. I hit the edge website every now and then....How do you know when they have updated the version for download?

I downloaded the latest tune last week and I just updated again today. I took a trip last week with my trailer. Same conditions as always and set the evo to Level 1. It does not like my trailer with Level 2. Anyhow, I got the worst mileage I have ever got. I was tempted to change to stock but then I don't get the speedo correction for the tires and it is nice to use the speedo and not guess. Edge told me when we were Beta testing that they would continue to improve their mileage tune. Hopefully this is true because this is one of the big reasons I bought it. I wanted to improve my towing mileage. My Quadzilla got much better mileage when towing on my LB7. I want to see some feedback on their new programmer for the LBZ and see if it is better. I tihnk I will be selling my evolution and getting EFI Live or maybe keep it as an additional gauge.

To anyone trusting their DIC, I don't know how many postings there has to be on this forum but your DIC will not be correct. It might be real close on a tank with light driving but then if you tow heavy on the next tank it will be way off. Just put it on level 3 and see how close it is. If I pull my trailer the DIC will be 2.5 gallons off and only 0.5 gallon when driving light highway miles per tank. The lower the HP tune the closer it will likely be. My DIC always over estimated my fuel by a little bit before the evo and now it underestimates by quite a bit. My '03 was always about 0.5 -1 mpg optimistic and when running the 135 tune it was about 10 mpg optimistic.

Do you have the Lightning software downloaded? Just plug your Evo into your PC and use the Lightning software and it will show you what version your Evo is and what is available for updates.
