I have 65k on my truck and it sounds like a rattle can, sounds like something tinny is vibrating around from the engine compartment, and my friends 03 w/90k on it,still has that (Quite diesel technolagy) Spelling may be off!! But his is real quite just like when there brand new. Mine is very loud and sounds like its falling apart!!! Can anybody tell me why this is? OHYEA!! he drives the piss out of it. Like me):h

Mine is getting much louder too. I have a knock when the engine is under slight load. I'm thinking it's fuel knock but I can't confirm. I took it to the dealer twice now and they say they can hear the noise but don't know what to do to it. I'm at 68000 miles now and my truck sounds like I'm melting a hole in a piston when I drive down the road. I guess I'll just keep driving it and hopefully it will explode or something. All I know is that something is wrong with the truck and dealer wants me to just put up with it.

Mine sounds like that when I accedently turned my pilot injection off with EFILive.

Try unplugging the dyno box and see what it sounds like.
