Hi everyone, long time reader, first time poster.

Just got a used 2005 DMax about a month ago. I'm in WI where it's cold and since I've owned this truck. Twice, I've had it on a cold morning when driving down the road. I would hear electrical noise in the stereo. It would cycle on and off and would stop after the truck would get warmed up more.

Looking for ideas, suggestions.
Thanks.

Are you talking about like a whining noise as you drive the truck coming from the speakers? Almost in tune with the tach on the truck?

I would yank the stereo and check the ground wire (usually black) and make sure it has a nice SOLID grounding point, no paint etc....

Nope, it's more like somthing is turning on and off with the engine. Gets real staticy and then turns off.

Stereo works fine the whole time.
