I just ordered a new EGR cooler. It's an upgraded version with SS tubes. If I run across a delete kit that won't throw out codes I may delete it. For now I need to see if this is why my overflow tank keeps depleting. I have all the symptoms of a bad cooler, including the white smoke out the exhaust. 99% sure it's not a head gasket. Hoping the new cooler will prove it.
 
No one makes a true EGR delete, with a Y bridge and all for the Kodiak. The only real options are cut and cap the riser on the exhaust manifold, and buy block off plates for the intake. Im working on doing something but its going to be another month before I have it figured out. Ill update my thread.
 
for my 09 i might as well delete the EGR and dpf all at once correct? It will need programming for both i think.
 
Idaho Rob sells a true egr delete. I have done this on my 06 LLY motor and I run a dsp5 with efi. I have 5 tunes along with the egr delete

Did you replace the inlet pipe or did he just send you block off plates?
 
This is also the question I have... I need to lower my temp on big hill climbs and also need a tune for somemore HP and Torque. My 05 C4500 bucket truck just doesn't have enough to pull to the top without slowing waaay down. I think I can fab a 5" straight pipe and would like to change down pipe and the up pipes in the back as well seeing you can get to all that pretty easily through the doghouse.
 
So who on here ended up making what plates work? I still want to delete my 05. And how much difference did you notice on your EGT's when pulling hills? I live in Wyoming and pull a 40' Horse trailer W/Living Qtr's we are at 7000 Ft. Elevation in town and I have Mtn. Passes every direction I go. I have no problem with the power other than having to constantly back of the throttle on hill's to keep temp's down.

What tuner are you looking for? I will have a PPE for sale in the next couple days that i bought last week, or if you want to hold off i will let you know how Kennedy works out after i get my ecm

All I've found is EPA compliant Tunes.. No one doing anything with us removing EGR, DPF.. fines and jail is too much to risk.
 
I want EFI Live. With that setup, I could "hypothetically" change those parameters myself using the handheld after someone gives me a "compliant" tune, I believe. Please let me know if I'm wrong on that.
