if you buy efi from say mcrat or kennedy, is it prety much plug & play with the tunes they provide. I have downloaded the demo version and it is like reading greek. It looks pretty easy to really mess up a truck.

the kennedy tune is a locked ecu that you have to buy from him or send him yours and he will program it. mcrat is not locked and you get every thing to tune it your self and get his tune.

If you start out with McRats 20/20 tune instructions you should be able to start to get the feel of tuning. If I can tune (at least I can make my truck scoot pretty good now) anyone can do it.

Yeah it just takes some time playing with it. Download some tunes from here and go through them to see what was changed. Just take it slow and if you have questions just ask.
