Well i have been hearing stories for 3 years now on the edges quiting while driving down the road. I was just telling someone the other day how i haven't had 1 problem, then after being on 2 trucks for 3 years about a week ago, my truck started dying unexpectedly, but it would usually restart. Then one morning it would start at all until i took the edge off, i noticed the attitude goes blank when it dies and it wont start till the attitude comes back on. I checked all the contections, and connector pins inside the harness, it all seems to be fine, looks like its time to send it in to edge.

YEA, same thing happened to mine. Edge doesn't want to stand behind it if it is over 2 years old either. I just sent mine back this week. They told me that I will probably have to pay for a replacement. They said it all depends on what they find is wrong.

I suggest you speak to Bryce or Kenny. They went far out of their way to do the right thing by me to ensure Edge keeps their Customer Service Reputation. Trust me...you will not be disappointed.

Really? Do you see any safety issue/liability involved here? What is your idea of a "proper warranty" ? Not hammering at you, personally, Cutler. Edge sucks. The products should be pulled from the market,,,,period.

2 friends had these things and 2 failures, one, almost catastrophic.

Glad I never chipped or programmed anything with mine. Stock is just fine.

I can understand not having a life time warranty...but when they replace you box with a "new and improved" unit that craps out on you 2 weeks after you install it...I don't think its asking to much for them to replace that one as well....which they have done for me twice now...seems to me the a know flaw in the design of the box superceeds any warranty date...for edge not to replace a box that they KNOW could potentially shut a truck down at highway speeds and get someone killed is just plain negligent....I think once they phase out all of the old boxes via warrenty and replace we will see their liberal warranty polilcy get a little more ridged

Respectfully, I disagree. If your friends (since you do not own any performance enhancers) Engine computer took a dump shutting it off outside the 5/100 warranty...would you crucify GM? How about loosing prime in the fuel filter? Or a myriad of other things that could (and do) go wrong? Remember the injector issue? GM extended that warranty to twice the milage and 1/2 again the years...trying to do the right thing. Edge has stepped up and is offering fantastic pricing on new units and better pricing of rebuilt units if you are out of warranty. Remember...out of warranty...they owe you NOTHING. Edge does not suck. They have features no other power enhancer has (except for EFILive)...And if you just have a little patience with them, you will see that Bryce and Kenny will step up to the plate and help you in any way they can.

Im also on my 3rd Edge. Just received it yesterday. Tech support says the stalling has been repaired. Is anyone still having the stalling problems on the new improved version. ( he he) before i reinstall it all again?

Yeah,,,,all of what you've stated is real comforting.

And nothing personal at you but the product (not the folks there) does suck. Witness the failures, Bro!! It amazes me the folks that continually try and justify something that is and certainly can be, downright dangerous to life and limb.

You and a few others here are trying to make comparisons of warranty, etc., that have no relevance to Edge. Please- - do continue to be a 'Beta Tester'. But don't try and sell it to me. ymmv.

I am on my 2nd edge in over 4 years. 1st one was on my 01 and later installed on my 03. Upgraded last year to an attitude and received a very fair trade-in.

My son has an edge on his truck. Neither of us have had any problems.

He had a BullyDog and it didnot have the same performance as the edge. The edge is much better performing chip. I have run over 325,000 miles on the two that I have.

Am I satisfied? You bet.
