1. Is this event worth my drive? (5 Hours from central PA)
2. Should I buy tickets in advance?
3. Does the sled pull take place at the same time others are drag racing? If so, can you watch both events from the same seats?

Thank you!

Not sure if its worth your while, but on the norm its pretty good.
Dont think its nessesary to buy tickets in advance.
If they hold the pulls at same time as drags, you cant see both from the same place.

Yep, was dissapointing that there was only half dozen or so Maxes and a butt load of dodges. Wish now I had not gone! Had no intension of running, but when they called for $5 fun run for two passes my son egged me on until I did it and my second pass broke my tranny. Exspensive day!

Really? You guys got to see some of the fastest diesels in the world and you're pissed off they weren't the brand you like? I don't care what brand it is, 8.9x and 150+mph is flying and is awesome for the sport! Go for the show, enjoy it, and don't feel the need to have your truck choice "validated" by a drag race or sled pull. To me, that is silly.

I love my Dmax as well. But guess what? I went to Numida and watched Dodges win a few events, and a few Dmaxs (I had buddies driving both) and we laughed and had a good time and never mentioned brands. To me that is what it's all about, watching some good competition and seeing people push the envelope. But to each his own. ;)

I agree with racedad, about the poor showing but not about the brand. if this show is to continue there will need to be more trucks involved. We were able to see a new record set by John Palmer( i believe that is his first name) in his Dodge, 1st pass 9.39 and backed it up with a 9.37. I'm brand loyal also but still love the thought of getting the most out everything you can. There was even a Big rig that run in the 13's so not a bad day in all just would like to see more support for the sport. If we can get more people in the gate the vendors will come, and so on. Also the local media needs to be involved, if you were not a regular at VMP you would have known about the event. RANT done
