I usually get around 14.5-15 mpg every tank. We took a 5 hour trip this summer and got a little over 16. I have noticed, as I'm sure most of you have that just jumping from 60 to 70 mph makes a huge difference in the mileage. Also, the figures that I have quoted were figured by using the old tried and true method of filling up and dividing that into the miles covered. The mileage figure in the DIC has been as much as 1.2 MPG off versus the mentioned method. It has been as close as .2 MPG, but it is usually off more that that. You would think that they would install a flow meter to more accurately gauge the amount of fuel used. Is this asking too much for a $40,000+ truck?
