I've gotten 18+ mpg once on a long, slow-n-easy highway trip. Typical mileage towing a 13,000 lb. horse trailer is 9-10 mpg at 62-63 mph. I consider this mileage to be more than acceptable for towing a very heavy trailer with a large frontal area. BTW, 13-15 running errands mixed town and highway, but I've got my VW TDI (47+ mpg) for serious going places economy.
