Had my truck in for a check engine light due to a bad glow plug. They told me I also had this code stored and that they would need the truck to sit for 8 hrs before they could do their diagnostics testing. They printed out the diagnostics instructions for me to look at. I'm a bit confused at exactly what this code is for though. Any help?

DTC P10D0 Reductant Injector Temperature - Exhaust Gas Temperature 2 Not Plausible
The 8 hour sit is to allow all temperature sensors to be at ambient, followed by monitoring during warm up. Apparently, the dosing injector, which is heated by coolant, has its own temperature sensor.

I just got the P10D0 code yesterday morning on a cold 1st remote start attempt and I can't find much of anything on the web about it.

- What is is?
- Is it covered by the emissions warranty?
- Do I need to get it to the shop ASAP?

Thanks,

P10d0 Description The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) monitors the Reductant Injector Temperature Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor. The PCM sets the OBDII code when the Reductant Injector Temperature Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor is not factory specifications.

Does anyone know where the Reductant Injector Temperature Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor is located? Is it part of, or separate of the reductant injector?

I don’t think you have one on your LLY
You have 5 EGT Sensors
It should be EXHAUST TEMPERATURE (POSITION 5) the last EGT Sensor because it’s down stream from 12647372 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Injector
But my thinking has been know to be backwards, maybe it’s EGT position 4, 3, 2, or 1
I’m sure someone with a LML would know there truck better than me. I don’t have one.

Rvn4me,
You are correct, I'm sorry I didn't specify that my question was regarding the LML.
My buddy has a '16 LML, his truck is down to 4mph limit has, trying to help him figure it out.

Found an EGT sensor, the only one I could find to be last in line. Pulled it, and you could see it was broken. But It hasnt fixed his problem. He had other codes. Not meaning to Hyjack, wbens, Did you ever Fix the code on your truck?

Update on my brothers LML, He replaced the wrong sensor. Had him swap with the sensor 2 inchs away on the other side of the exhaust from the Def injector, same codes.... but it drove, so he drove it around and the check engine light went off, drives like a bat.
My findings... EGT before the turbo(not #1?), EGT on downpipe, EGT opposite the Def injector(and the harness runs a loopty loo right into one of the connectors on the Def injector!!!), EGT middle of the particle filter, Egt at end of filter. 5 Sensors i counted.
Info, for all. 2016 3500 LML
