I just bought a axle from a 2003 chevy 2500 to put under my 1996 2500. the new axle has disk brakes and i have drums, what will i need to do to make the conversion?

Is this the AAM 11.5 axle, which would come from a 2500HD?

You may have differences with the e-brake cables and set-up. I would assume there is a porportioning valve difference. You may need to change the brake lines/hoses.

I looked up on AllDataDIY and couldn't find a lot of information that would help.

My vote would be make the change to disks, but that will require some research. Not sure if your stock brakes will bolt on to the new axle (assuming it's the 11.5 axle).
