I am about to jump on a 2003 with 160k. I know that there is a warranty that covers the injectors until 200k, but should I be worried about the truck? In two years I will be over the warranty and sure as hell don't want to have to pay for new injectors.

Any advice?

I have 111,000 on my 2003, and have not had injector troubles.

Find a truck with lower mileage if it scares you so.

nearly 110K, no issues to date. About 35K have been modded (450+rwhp) miles. No aux. fuel filter yet and change the OE every 10K miles.

I purchased my 03 with 160K and the VIN check showed injector replacement at 36K all still good, except for the damn hole in the Tcase.

Got the truck on stands now with the t-case out, just trying to figure out how to split the case to install the pump upgrade, and ncase half.

My injectors are fine, they'd better be, had them done 8k ago, lol. I have 104k on it now and everything's seeming to go fine.

My 03 is little over 91,000. No injector problems. I run about 1/2 can of 2 cycle oil to every fill up (ec/sb) and a shot of "diesel kleen" every other tank.

Tolliewacker, how you doing on your t-case pump upgrade? I am assuming it is quite a job on jack stands. I have not attemped yet.

136K on the original injectors with no problems. I've used FPPF fuel treatment since day one, have a Kennedy Mega fuel filter post-OEM since 46K and have just recently started adding 1/2 qt 2-stroke oil to each tank of fuel due to the swap to Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel.

I've 154,00 on mine and it time to change them. Run a check to see if they've been replaced and when. If it was in the last year or so I'd say you shouldn't have another problem with them.
