I need the torque specs for the six bolts that hold the water pump onto that steel plate. Anyone please.

I have some specs from chiltons but they aren't very clear. 17lbs except the 3 lower right bolts. Tighten those to 31 lbs. I think those are for mounting the plate to the motor. Anyone know for sure?

Thanks gmctd!!

I went ahead and guess torqued the WP\plate to 20lb with a little blue lock tight before you posted and have already set up on the block. Do you think 20lb will be alright?? If it will create a problem at 20lb i will take it off and torque them to 17lb. Let me know....I'm working on this now.

Nah - not worth the effort - the torque setting prevents the screws from easily backing out, and prevents getting wacky with the 24" breaker-bar
