Driving along today and the interior lights started flickering on. All doors were securely shut so no reason for that. There was also a clicking sound that sounded like a relay which corresponded to every flicker. I traced that sound to the box in the picture. Unplugging it stopped the the flickering. But what is it for?

Ah, no worries. I think I've got it. It's the interior lamp control module. The other night I accidentally left the interior lights on all night. Perhaps I fried it's little brain.
