So i have been having this problem on my truck and not sure if i should bring it into the stealer to have it checked out since its under warrenty or not.

For some reason when trying to shift into 4wd using the floor shift, it feels like its binding and doesnt want to go in smoothly. I have tried rolling @ 1-5mph in drive, coming to a complete stop in drive, shifting in neutral, rolling forward / backwards 1-5mph in neutral and stopped in neutral. If I try and force it it seems like it almost grinds for a split second. However, coming out of 4wd and going into 2wd it shifts really easy / smooth.

I have a feeling that if i Keep forcing it something is going to give and break.

I dont often go into 4-lo but the times that I have its been a pain to get it in there.

Any ideas?:help:

My 4wd shifter vibrated at hwy speeds when I first bought mine. The dealer adjusted it once but that didn't fix it. Second time they replaced the shifter and linkage. When you are having problems is it going into 4hi or 4lo? You should be able to shift from 2hi to 4hi at any time stopped or not, in gear or not. When shifting into 4lo you should be stopped with the trans. in Nuetral. If your truck is under warranty take it in and get it fixed.
