When I flush the cooling system in the spring should I use a diesel specific ethylene glycol coolant formulation? Presently I am using a high silicate formulation without any problems.

The guys on the GM website call it "Dex Cruel" because of the intake gasket failure rate since the changeover. The green stuff didn't have the problem It became more predominate since the advent of the orange stuff. Probably due to increased drain intervals, but they think its the coolant.
