The LB7 is the first generation Duramax, the LLY is the second, the LBZ is the third and the LMM is the fourth generation Duramax. Dont know a whole lot about the oil burners myself but i lovem and am starting to learn. I know some of the basics but i am no diesel tech by any means. Dont be afraid to ask or you will never learn.
