I have a 95 that defuels if I exceed 2500 rpm in 2nd or 3rd gear for an extended time or going up a hill. The engine light comes on, it defuels and the only way to fix it is to turn the ignition off and then back on and then it is fine. I have suffered with this for the past 100K miles, and we have litterally replaced everything except the short block and it still does it.
