T

you too still? I was hoping you would figure it out and share with me:)

I am still working on it as well. I have tried 4 different tunes and they are all different. The one that works the best is of course down on power from the rest. I will send you that one to try. but as you know it is a never ending cycle. change one thing, then drive it, allow tcm to adjust, change another,.......

I had one tune add fuel at the shifts and it overrides the TBIQ most of the time. and part throttle is terrible

I have to agree with others that you need to keep the DSP2 TRQ tables as close to the base tables as possible.

I think you will need to customize the torque limiting tables (defueling) for each tune if you are changing injector pulse times. It's one of the more time consuming parts of tuning.

I hear ya. A real PITA. I'm going to have at them again this weekend. What pids are you guys logging your torque tables with? I'm still getting some funny readings logging torque.

I'd like to know more about what the ECM thinks this is.
well hopefully someone will answer this question this time around:rolleyes:

I have even sent Ross a pm about it a week or two ago. but in his defense i told him to put it on the bottom of his list, if he didn't have something readily at hand.

Here is one at the 2-3 shift. the note line is at the defuel. the frame just before was at 87.7mm3. the frame just after is 94.5mm3. so ~50mm3 defuel:eek:

I haven't totally worked it out yet, but I will say that it is possible to get decent shifts on big tunes with the tables that we have. Not perfect yet, but much better than many of the popular big tunes.

I'll point you guys in the right direction.

Look at table B0727 and B0741.........

B1102 is looked at first and then that table references B0741.

Log the tune and play the log back.......make MAP files and watch how it all works.

The easiest way to grasp it is to log a stock tune..........it's not as difficult as you might think it is, look closely at the tables and you'll be able to figure it out.

:D

Well Tony as you know i have been all over those tables and have my ideas on them. But if you can fix a defuel at 580 hp on Nasty... I will learn how to make MAP files.:D Thanks

I got this thread confused with a parallel LBZ thread. I've had good luck with the LB7 and LLY and I've been working on it with the LBZ, but lately I've been too consumed learing to run my "excavator"... ;)

Not exactly sure, but does the defueling tables have something to do with making the Allisson shift a little better (i.e. no flare shifts) with a higher horsepower tune?

Ok, just so you all know I am still having issues. Attached is a screen shot of a log of my tune after trying another members tune. I did not change anything on my tune just reloaded it. MFuel goes from 95.2 to 11.7mm3. (new recorded defuel 83.5mm3:eek: ) DMAX_TRQ went from 657ft-lbs to 0ft-lbs. Why?

Do we know anything more about DMAX_TRQ? Will changing the TCM programming change DMAX_TRQ???????
