But if only one glowplug was ever going to fail, you 're wasting your time and money.....
It's certainly not like everyone with an LML has been reporting constant glowplug failures. There have been some, and there have been trucks with several.
If they were all failing, we'd have had a policy warranty program on LML glowplugs like the ones for LML NOx sensors and LB7 injectors.
It boils down to a personal choice.......
You're not wasting time or money when you want to keep your truck running smoothly, which keeps you from under the hood, giving you the ability to focus your time on other things in life....
There have not been a lot of constant glow plug failure issues with the Duramax, true... but to keep up on regular wear items keeps you ahead of the repair game down the road...
It's equivalent to tires.
Common sense would dictate that when your tires wear down equally to the indicators and you had a blowout, you wouldn't replace one and claim that you'll be fine because the other tires have plenty of rubber..
You would replace all four tires to:
A. keep you safely on the road
B. keep you from having to stop and changing 3 different blowouts later because your time is more important elsewhere..
Granted, there are some that have fewer means in the world than others and have to get by dealing with one tire at a time because of a hardship...
In time, it will get done.
