I noticed this morning that the 3 button at the bottom of my a/c controls that the white symbols were not light. One button is for the A/C, recirculate and one other. Best I remember they were at one time. Are they supposed to be? If so how hard is it to replace the bulbs?

Thanks. I did not realize they would be soldered in. It is not an easy thing to do then.

You would be surprised. If you can take it apart, then you should be able to solder it. If you don't have a soldering iron, just head to Radio Shack and pick some up with some small solder and maybe a wick. Just take your time and desolder the joints to remove the bulbs. If you are terrified that you will mess something up more, then you probably should avoid it, but the lights are already broken...
