I have heard a lot of good things about the CST 6" lift. Does it requiere you to cut anything or weld anything? I would like to get a simple bolt in kit that I could remove later if I had to.
If it does, does anyone know of another good lift kit that doesnt cause to front wheels to stick out so far?

I believe that CST requires the bump stops to be cut to install the upper a-arm bracketry. There may be a couple of other cuts to make also.

The Cognito kit only requires one cut of the lower a-arm pocket. Needed to clear the front diff. Also 4 holes will need to be drilled for the torsion bar drop down bracket. Everything else is bolt in. This kit does widen the front track, but only by 3/4" total (3/8" on each side).

Here is a link to the install instructions for the Cognito 7-9" lift. http://www.cognitomotorsports.com/01-06_GM_8-lug/7-9_lift_install.htm

The other kits out there which don't widen the track (ProComp, etc...) require a lot more cutting.

The CST does not widen the front track width. It is a full-drop kit.

All knuckle type lifts will widen the track width.
