Yesterday I used the cruise control on a short trip w/ no problems. When i was ready to return, I triied it and it would not set. Any suggestions to what would cause it to radomly stop working. My truck is an 06' w/49,000 miles.

check your brake lights, ensure that the thrid is working.

I checked the third brake light & it is working.

on my 05 sometimes i would have to tap the break peadal and that would allow it to engage and set.
