Asphalt you see this on cl?
Could be a cheap turbo set up
And im down for road trip, but its a long drive at 55 in my truck. and we need a big trailer
I just got my hopes up the week before looking at an 84 or 82 k5 blue and white listed for 2k it was somewhere deep in con I got there it had body rot bondoed and spraypainted (buffed) the talegate was rotted and rewelded by some hack the interior smelt...mousey the tires were passanger tires all dry rotted(covered in tire shine) and the engine was warm when i got there i drove it around the lot parked it and tried...TRIED to start it again put the pedal all the way down and it roared to life with black smoke and ACORNS...ACORNS!!!! shooting out the tail pipeOnce in a while "it" just falls in your lap, heck of a deal on the blazer.
With dead batteries I would not pay more than a couple hundred bucks. Cant check anything if it wont spin. Engine could have been locked up, trans in pieces, etc and you wouldnt know until you got home with it. Just my 2 centsyou guys are crazy i wouldnt pay more than $700 for that blazer
And i was dead set on a 6.2 truck for a while and thought i was going nowhere after looking at a couple of ripe corn beef destroyers
I got my jimmy off of craigslist it was listed for$1200 and the next day the add came up $1200 OBO
the add stated the batterys were dead and it needed a wheel cylinder
I got it with 40k ORIGINAL MILES no rot rust or dents for $900
Mind you the 8 days following i put another $1300 in new parts (not labor)
ball joints tie rod ends calipers wheel cylinders pads master cylinder batteries belts oil wheel bearings fuel filter i cant rember the rest BUT now i have a reliable truck the drives starts and stops nice
I couldnt sell it im too attached someone offered me $3500 for it once in a home depot parking lot I mean they just dont make them like they use to
(Me and my buddy the next morning after i got it)
No they werent completly discharged he jumpstarted it test drove it and i drove it home with no rear brakes he was a good guy he let me use his plates to get back home and called mu up a week later to give me a brand new set of glow plugs a spare j code fule pump rear window track and a filter housingWith dead batteries I would not pay more than a couple hundred bucks. Cant check anything if it wont spin. Engine could have been locked up, trans in pieces, etc and you wouldnt know until you got home with it. Just my 2 cents

Im getting more and more interested in the 5.7's
ANd for the turbo lovers, a hx35
And who doesnt need a shed on wheels?
I gotta go count my money
Man thats awesome you got that to work out. I buy cars from the general pubilc, and If I had a dollar for every time I have herd it just needs a battery, I wouldnt have to work anymore. The last one was a 86 500 SEL Mercedes Benz. Jumped it off and it wouldnt change from 2nd to 3rd gear. Good thing I bought it cheap. No they werent completly discharged he jumpstarted it test drove it and i drove it home with no rear brakes he was a good guy he let me use his plates to get back home and called mu up a week later to give me a brand new set of glow plugs a spare j code fule pump rear window track and a filter housing
I just bought 2 new 1000 ca batteries because i read up on how tough the 6.2 is to start and im glad i did they can be quite the pita if you dont have a power scorce for the block heater in the dead of winter 3 tries on half life batteries and i would be in trouble
