Howdy all...

I know my Query has been the subject of a number of posts.
I've read quite a few of them.

Current State of affairs- lotsa miles....370K+
Michelin ATX LT2 Tires 4000 miles on them: 265/70R17
Air bags.
Titan Tank & a 30 Gal slip in the box + HitchHiker 5th Wheel hitch
(I'm sure that puts me over already...LOL)
Current RV is a 2003 Citation Supreme 26RKS~ 12,500 loaded. Pulls just FINE.

Tentative Plan is to get ready for a bug-out given the UTTER Effing INSANITY out there these days.
As such want the ability to handle a 14500 lb 36-38' 5th wheel....to LIVE IN Full TIME.

Ergo....my question: Aside from installing a proper set of springs - whatever that may consist of, is there anything else I should be doing...(going to 285's perhaps...and or bigger brakes if even possible..??

Mucho appreciado..!!
Tks

Well.....I think after some sober thought, I may add a leaf for now, but, when it comes time to go Buy a 38ft Tiffin RV in 3-4 yrs...I'll be getting a 3500 Dually. Nowhere near enough stability with a SRW type truck to handle 17,500 GVWR.. and I think by then my LBZ may be a tad tired..!!

Having a Dually would mean a little bit better footprint on the ground while hauling (y)

My thoughts Exactly OK. Looks like I'll be seeking a 2009/10 LMM Dually in reasonable condition Add a Super Glide 5th Wheel hitch with a dpf delete..!! LOL.

But Damn, I will loose so many mods form my 06...Bwaaaaa...!! Titan Tank, my Alum slip tank, EFI Live, EGR Delete, Sinister intake, PPE Manifolds, Edge Monitor to name but a very Few...Prolly better off keep it and use as a parts truck..!!
