Don't know if this site can/will much use, but seems to have a few part numbers that could be of use

Thanks leathal02. They look like mostly non HD parts although many apply to the body.

Hoot,

I picked up a locking gas cap for my '02 2500HD D/A the other day and it appears that there is a newer number for it. The new part number is 12497880.

Does any one have the part numbers for the 2003's. I talked to GM and they didn't have a # for a locking fuel cap. Thanks for the help guys.

Hoot, I pulled all the list prices off the GMPartsDirect website. They list the GM list cost and then their cost. I have nevered ordered anything from this site but like to use it for a quick reference to find the list price before before contacting the dealer to purchase the item. (The prices are always correct.)

The parts guy at the dealer really likes the fact that when I call him I already have the part number and all he has to do is see if he had it in stock.

Now, all you have to do is call me with that part no. I can/do beat everyprice on that list and I include shipping, GMPD makes a killing on shipping, give them a try, then call me. Ask around, who is better??

Eric, no argument there. As stated above, I only use GMPD to lookup info. I have a good working relationship with my local dealer. I do all the leg work and then call him with the part numbers. Since I'm also a mechanic, he gives me a professional discount.

Believe me, if it wasn't for that you would have my business. You will probably get some of my business anyway just as a means of saying thanks for all the work you put into this web site.

Black Console Insert for '03s that we hack up in order to install CBs/Ham Radios. (in case you want to make it like new for resale)

Part # 88987435

It comes with both cigarette lighter type outlets and the rubber inserts.

Ouch, $65 at the dealer. I'll need that snap-in Bezel that surrounds it as some point since I've drilled holes in it to mount microphones on the sides. Color Tan, Part #?

Does anybody know if the camper wiring harness listed in this thread (see below) hooks directly into the fuse box (or somewhere close to the front of the bed), or does it plug into the rear end of the trailer wiring harness?

The main reason I would get one is to shorten the charge and ground wires, but if it just plugs into the trailering harness at the rear, I might just as well make up a 7-wire cable with a male connector at each end.
