rstr435316,

I'm not sure what size tires you want to run but check out this link about Cognito Motorsports lift kits. Please take the time to read and It will help you know how it helps against the common problems people have with other kits. We install and ship a large amount of these kits and have few if not any problems with them. I'm sure there will be others that chime in and tell you how well Cognito's lift kits work for them.

Very happy with my leveling kit (upper a-arms and shock extensions) from Cognito. Factory like ride and still able to fit 285s comfortably. Easy assembly too...

The Cognito Leveling Kit is of high quality, a fair price, and a good ride with no problems so far. I only lifted mine 2" so the only issues I had with the kit were the position of the brake line tabs on the upper A-arms being too close in. If I had lifted my truck 2.5 to 3.0" I don't think I would have had any issues at all.

It is easy to install too!:D

ya know, I had same problem...tabs for brake lines too far to secure line. I sorta pried the metal bracket open a bit and slid it forward so I could attach it to the tab on the control arm. The ABS line was a bit of fenagling too... Overall, very happy with the kit though!

There have seen a couple of complaints of c.v.'s breaking. The Cognito kit is new so only time will tell, it costs more too. It seems to be the popular answer on the internet. Especially from people with no first hand experience.
I would stick with manufacturers who have been in the biz. longer IMO. lots of other kits are every bit as good (or better) for a lot less $$. It is really a matter of preference because all lift kits achieve the same thing.

Do some searching and you will find answers to all questions asked.

You cant go wrong with Cognito or CST - I would stay away from the 'off the shelf' kits.

It seems like you are in every cognito post, but never have anything positive to say. Usually you seem to complain about cognito not having a skid plate. If that is all you can complain about, then don't say anything at all, especially since you say http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=129210&page=4&highlight=cognito+cv " Good advise, D-max was intended to be a tow-rig NOT a Trail rig." Then why would a person need a skid plate? Make up your mind.

You say "It seems to be the poplular answer on the internet. Especially from people with no first hand experience." Yet all the people above you, either have a cognito product, or sell cognito products. You seem to be the one with no first hand experience? Since you don't have a cognito lift.

amen, Diesel-N-Dust most of your posts are negative and just stirring up crap no matter what the topic is. quite the instigator behind that keyboard

Too funny, I decided on Cognito after I Read his Posts:D

IMO,When people talk real loud but dont back up what they are talking about.... It's better to do the opposite of what they are saying ;)

Only took me a couple of searches on this forum to decide who I was going with. You get what you pay for, and service has a price as well. Cheaper is not always better. NorCal's got my vote.

IMO this site is bias not that anything is wrong with Cognito but you should looks around www.pavements*cks.com or other wheeling sites. Really it will come down to, what you want to pay, tire size, and what’s included in the kit.

there is a reason for the bias. this is a chevy/gmc only forum and its not pavementsucks.com. theres no Broncos, toyotas,or jeeps or whatever. and im sure that there is bias toward which lift to get if you have one of those vehicles too.
