Hey all,

I have a 2006 2500HD and looking to get a code reader for this truck. I'm currently looking at a Innova 5510 or 5610. However, if I get a new truck soon, I would like it to be compatible with a new 2500 as well. The Innova site says neither are compatible except for check engine lights. Any help with both backwards and current readers is appreciated. Thanks

For the new truck, you would need the GM MDI ( or Tech 3 as it's sometimes known as)
