does anyone know if the chrome step bars that come on the 06 d-max are chromed steel or stainless steel? thanks for the input, keep truckin':ro)

I Think they are S/S with crome, cause a magnet does not stick.
I have a GMC 06 CC step bars they have GM paper tag/ sticker under-neath

I have a set of stock GM chrome bars on B.B.T. They are chrome plated stainless....exactly like Westin Platinums, but with one large step pad instead of the two smaller ones.

I got new take-off OEM's on e-bay for $225 shipped.

I got OEM's because of the quality, and the one step pad which is the only way to go asthetically and functionally IMHO.
