Sometimes trucks are wired for all options but just have some. I am hoping for a harness in the headliner that would adapt. Are the LS LB7 trucks wired for the compass/temp mirror? It would be sweet to find one on ebay and mount it.

you have to see if your radiator support harness has the ambient sensor in it, thats what reads the temp at the front of the truck, usually the base models do not and you have to change the complete support harness

I did this on my 02 2500HD LS, the harness was tucked up in the headliner, and all I had to do was buy the ambient temp sensor from the dealer (17.00) and plug it into the harness in front of the radiator support. You will then have to calibrate it. Which is described in your manual. I believe you put the mirror switch to calibrate and make a series of 4 or 5 right turns. I may have a extra mirror if anyone is interested.

Well I droped the headliner this morning and no plug for the mirror , but it does have the plug up front for the sensor . Is there an intermediate harness that goes to the mirror from under the dash somewhere or maybe the BCM.

I felt back up there, and I felt a wire for something, but I couldn't tell what it was for.

Just bought one on ebay. Trukworx never emailed me, and I got it for $20. Will post back.

I just got my mirror in. I have the plug in the headliner, but there are no wires in front of the radiator. I saw in a previous post where they are supposed to be, and mine aren't there. What harness do they come out of? maybe it's stuck in there somewhere....

Anyone have the wiring diagrams for these things? I have the upfitter diagrams and this isn't in there.

Mine was wire tied to the bottom radiator brace , mostly hiden by the AC fins. Unfortunately I couldn't find a plug up top for the mirror. The wires for the sensor come out at the lower right side of the radiator , as you face it . Good luck

I bought a 3rd party mirror and wiring harness kit off of eBay for my Honda Civic Hybrid (bling, bling!!). It was a simple installation, the wiring is nothing to be afraid of if your truck isn't equipped with the proper OEM harness.

I guess I need to start taking off body panels to find it. I haven't taken off the skid plate or anything yet.

Thanks!
