Check you power-steering fluid level, recheck your brake-fluid level in the reservoir - refill as necessary

Or, just let it bleed the trapped air thru the system - that's what's happening when the groaning sound occurs.

My truck is not HD.Dont know similaritities/diffs between 3500 &3500HD re brakes. When mine acted up(mooing/groaning when brakes applied at low speeds) I pulled. fuse & drove with out abs.Cost of sensor(may be part of hub )is wild.

Thanks desiel-t,crowne
my 3500hd front 4 wheel ,drive, brake, rotor, asembely is a lot bigger than a 2500 hd 4 wheel drive.see picture in my "garage" under gmc 3500 hd. My front rotor and hub comes a part in two pieces and weight about 80lbs.tools are all standard ,also have 2 21/2 jamb nuts with lock washer with bendable tabs, holding on rotor and hub. Still need to work on brakes
i guess i need to have truck re scaned with a better dtc.scanner to have code(s) read. I have a ""motor" heavy duty meddium truck repeir mannual explaining dtc. Codes for my kersler-hasyes anti lock brake moudle . Mannuals says no provision for "flash type dtc scanners" took out 60 mp fuse out of anti lock fuse slot brakes work fine.anti lock light now on

Had my 3500 hd rescanned with a better scanner ,however cdt codes were speratic and not always the same with truck running and brakes appilied. Looking into a little further.person(s)scaning my truck thinks their might be debrie (trash)stuck in the abs moudle itself.not sure or if trash chould be flused out. Here is a web site that rebuilds certain abs.moudles for anyone else having abs modular promblems.absfixer.comit will save you some dough. I 99% sure my promblem is in the abs moudle, but not sure if in hydrolic part or in eletrical part of abs modular .being that my brake promblems/codes are speratic. Keep you posted on progress,my truck being heavy and hauling a trailer and having emplyoees the abs is pretty important to me.
