Dirty Jobs had a story on making Biodiesel last night. Did anyone else catch that. It was pretty cool. I have read some on it, but that story helped me to realize what actually goes into doing it.

I turned it off when they got to that segment. After every teaser was promoting it as a "gasoline alternative" I figured watching it would just annoy me. The Bulls were playing anyway.

i noticed they left out a few steps, probably just to speed the segment along

they introduced the methoxide into the unreacted oil and immediately waited for glycerin separation? um.... you guys need to let that stuff mix!

no washing? ew!

that guy is only ~60mi from me. i really liked his magnetic-hotplate.

Yeah, that thing was cool. I think Mike Rowe wants to start marketing those.

great show though isn't it? I've seen 'em all.

Mike is seriously funny in a straight-up smart-azz kinda way. :D

Ya, that was a rerun- it was okay. You could tell they left a lot out, probably like others have said in interest of time.
That show is pretty good overall- Some of it is staged, but Mike seems like a genuine good guy.
