Sounds like a silly question, but who makes the best auxillary flood lamps? I installed a cheap set on my truck. Now they are so clouded up they hardly add any light to what the factory reverse lights throw out.

Any name brand Hella, PIAA and ect are good.

Well, just wanted to say thanks for the advice. I went with the Hella comet 550's. It came as a complete kit. Only thing that I needed to buy separately is extra primary wire to get from the fuse block to the back of the suburban. I installed the relay behind the spare tire.

My back up lights are brighter than my headlights:D .

Thanks again. -Joi

Can you trun them on without putting it in reverse or do they only work in reverse?

Edit I mean the kit how is it set up to work, good directions?

You can wire them any way you like I imagine.

Where are folks mounting these? I really like the PIAA driving lights with the replacement air dam. I too need some back up lights that work better than the stockers.

This is what I used....

I mounted my KC backup lights in existing holes out near the edge of the bumper. I wanted coverage.
