I am as to curious what to buy for my tranny....I was playing with my Edge/attitude(no timing) On Hot mode (lvl6) with low boost fueling all the way up....and my Superchips 2705 All the way up on lvl 3...I must say ive been in a 450hp mustang and it didnt even compair to how fast the acceraration the truck had im thinking it was pushing 500hp or so....going 40 miles hrs smoked the rears up till 50 or so...But getting to the story here i was on the highway without absolutely noone around and decideds to hammer it got too 125-130 dont know it was pegged...then slowed to 60 and hammered it again...hit bout 65 and 4-5gear slipped and think it put it in limp more only had 1-4gears no overdrive...so i pulled out the superchip and got error code p0700(control failure) and p0735(5th gear ratio incorrect)....Tranny already has upgraded clutches and shift kit from pervious owner...so i was told....And im pretty fin hard on it ...hammer it at stop lights whenever the cops around around...already gone threw 4sets of rears in 10k miles haha...Whats do i need to prevent 4-5gear slips and more holding power on all clutches...i dont want a new tranny just items to buy and install myself im a pretty mechanically inclined with diesels and get myself around well...O yeah sorry didnt have my thingy fill out its a 03 with 57k miles straight pipe ...stock intake...hot edge att...superchips stacked...and a shift kit and clutches from pervious ower not sure on the brand

Well if all the previous owner did was clutches I would get a new torque converter for sure and some suncoast clutches and the boost modifier valve. Suncoast is a vendor here as well as ATS, they are the most common brands for alli upgrades.

Here are both of their web pages.

http://www.atsdiesel.com/ATSWebsite/PGM_transmissions.asp

if you want some personal opinion here is a link to a suncoast and ATS search of this webpage. <<<Caution>>> you may read for days:D

A Suncoast IV will do that very thing. Actually just the valves and stuff installed in the trans should have done that.

The Suncoast IV with a triple-disc converter or a full-up V would hold what you want. You have to drop the trans to do any real work to it.
