Ugly piece of meat, disgusting to some. Anyhow, boil the tongue with some Montreal Steak seasoning in the water for around 3 hours, until fork tender. Peel off skin covering the tongue on the top, sides and bottom while hot but under running cold water so you don't burn your fingers. Put in a large freezer bagk then into the refrigerator overnight. Then slice if very thin. Get some brown gravy mix at the grocers. Start the gravy in a pan and add several handfuls of sliced tongue as the gravy simmers. Ready to eat and enjoy. Cold sliced tongue also make a good sandwich with some lettuce, tomato and mayo.
