$1000 well spent I guess.
No more knocking, no more pinging.
Did a 40 mile drive yesterday and didn't hear anything bad.

Argh, flatbed I ordered isn't expected to show up until end of October now, delayed.
I have a cheap $200 flatbed I picked up a few months ago but needs new wood for floor.
Maybe I will get a few pieces of plywood to put down for now so can at least use the truck.

It was all worth it... I picked up a MBRP 4" no muffler setup today in Boston for $300
Put it on this afternoon and I have somehow forgotten all the pain this truck has caused me.
It sounds free king awesome. Only took it for a short ride and as I sit here typing this post I am still giddy. 🤟👍🤙💪

Tomorrow I need to fab up some kind of mount for the tailpipe hanger, being a C&C it never
had one.

Man it’s good to read your perseverance paid off!
You now have a solid rig and your VERY well acquainted with the different systems. Enjoy your new sound system😁. I’m sure it will sound throaty.
Job well done!

Sound bit video, it was dark out 🤪
Sounds awesome, put some miles on and was worried it might be too loud with no muffler.
But it's perfect to me.

Well that was short lived, getting a bunch of fuel pressure codes, it won't go past 2000 rpms and blowing white/blue smoke.
Research is telling me fuel pressure relief valve might be shot. Got one on my parts engine to try, hope it's easy to get to.

Swapped pressure relief, no change.
Gonna do the FPR even though I put a new one on.
Hoping it's not the CP3, another $1000 down the drain 🤬
I would just get a new one from Kennedy and be done with it.

I would try wiring in a cheap 6.5L lift pump on it to see if the positive pressure helps

I happen to have one in stock. Actually had one from my 6.5 days.
Guess it sat on the shelf too long, put 12v to it and nothing, beat it with a hammer, nothing.
So I ordered one because the original transfer pump that is on there looked like death was around the corner but it keeps on pumping.

I will try the spare tomorrow and see what happens.
I don't think my lines are collapsing, but I will double check, if it's ok after sitting overnight, it could be lines I guess

I’m sure by now with all the past injectors issues you’ve thoroughly flushed the fuel system. Are you running a secondary fuel filter. Sheesh, I sure hope you catch a break brother.

So this morning, cold start it will rev past 2k but immediately goes to not revving past 1k.
I suspect the FPR I put on might be a Bosch knock off, boy they did a good copy.
I thought for sure it was Bosch, even had the QR code on it but the price tag should have been a dead give away.

Looks real to me but I got a code for it and it was $10 on ebay.
I should just pony up the $145 and get one from Rockauto.

My experience when it come to sensors (gas or diesel) is to buy genuine GM. All others including american brands have always come back to bite me.
My .02
I ordered the Bosch one from Rockauto
