I've been going over the RPO codes listed on the parts ID tag in the glovebox. One code is C36, an auxiliary heater. Is this the same as the engine coolant heater that is listed in the owner's manual? I looked under the hood and didn't see it right away.

Other than that, no surprises from the list.

Not 100% sure but it is likely referring to a rear interior heater in your Suburban.

Jason, nice rifle :ro) is that a .50 BMG? I have a similar looking .223 space gun for long range target and varmints. :snipersmi

As for the heater, I did not write down all the code translations, but I think the rear defroster as well as the seat heaters are different codes.

I'm going to look again for the mysterious heater today, thanks.

No coolant heater

Jason, you are absolutely correct. I bought a used service maunal set and the auxiliary heater is listed as consisting of a separate heater core and blower fan for the rear interior, not the engine coolant heater as I thought.
