when i put my stock keys back in, i was just a shade over the 2 inch mark. i think i have a flat washer under one t-bar bolt, and 2 flat washers on the other to acheive my desired ride height. then take em all the way out and through em in the floorboard for the pull.
That hitch is sexy-can I borrow it ;) .
I may have to see how this reciever shank and clevis work but I sure hate to use it and then decide I need a pulling hitch. That would be a waste of $70. Hope that guy from dickson brings those to look at.
If you only had to have a few washers I won't even have to worry about what size nut I need. Thats a good thing I guess. Wideopen is possibly bringing me an SD centerlink to look at. No good for friday but maybe soon.
Think It's a good idea to run all my electronics full on? I think so :D

always run it all turned up all the way! Balls to the wall. If you are nervous about breaking then don't hook. I say put her to the floor and leave her that way. ( I can say that because last year I managed to do $2300 worth of damage in a single hook!) Good luck and I will see if I can come hang with you guys.

Also keep in mind that Aug 19 we have a pull down this way. Lots of Dodges and very few Dmaxs.

sure, we'll all use it! IDGAF!! i also got a pintle loop from TSC that slides into the reciever, but it does not give any height adjustment. so if we break this cobbled up contraption, we'll have a spare ;) !!

didnt you dyno at BG? 468HP? wasnt that you? yeah, if i were you, i'd run them at the maximum. you can bet your ass mine will be maxed out!!:D

If I do $2300 worth of damage I'll have to park this thing behind the barn for a few months !!! I hope it was because of all the power your making :D If so I should be OK.
I never did dyno at BG. It just didn't seem like it was worth $75 at the time to have all the youngun's say theirs' made more than mine b/c they had a 260 hp tuner and I only made xxx hp.
BTW Chris, Good write up in the Sticky- I printed pics.

The damage was actually because at the time I had just had an alignment done and the Dummy that did it forgot to tighten up the upper A-arm bolts on the passengers side. When I got in it full throttle I got the wheel shake of death. It was ugly, Truck began hopping and tearing stuff up, but I didn't want to loose! I stayed in it until the truck would no longer pull. It had to be winched on a trailer for the ride home. But the best part is I did not come in last, I still beat one other Dodge that was there!!! It was worth it. I'll try and see if I can find the video and post it. Only for ya'lls enjoyment.

That's something I don't want to hear. I'm having mine lined up a few hours before the pull b/c of the keys.
I like your style though-win at all cost :D

The smokin' white goat is from Dickson. The truck belongs to a friend of the Underwood Tire guys that I was telling you about in Bowling Green. Underwood had the maroon ext cab Cummins that had trouble on the track and did not pull...his neighbor had the red CC Dmax that did not live up to what I thought it would do. I believe they are bringing 3 or 4 trucks (white goat, maroon goat, red dmax, maybe another white goat). These guys are the favorites to win in my opinion( I guarantee ya'll they pull in every class)...and no one in a DMAX has shown anyone in my neck of the woods that a DMAX can hang w/ a Cummins when it comes to sled pullin'.

Shep,

Better tune it up hot, there are a couple of goats from my neck of the woods that are coming up. I can hang with both of them and they are difinately beatable. But be forewarned they will put it on you if they can hook up on the track. Most of their issues here have been traction related.

One of them is a 97 flat bed, That is one of my best friends. I put about 4 ft on him last pull down here so he is ready to put the smack on a Dmax.

I'll try to get somewhere that all of us can park together, or at least close. I usually try to get backed up to the warehouse in the pit area. JD4440, myojunk, and 02Durabeast have my # so we can all get together.

I'm bringing 2 4way wrenches, a jack, a small tool set, a grinder. Just thinking ahead. ...maybe a cooler and an inconspicuous cup for after I get done pullin'???

If you're pullin' in Springfield, get there as early as you can. I've had A LOT of people say they are hookin' and if it's as many as last year at the fair they might stop registering after a certain # of trucks. I hope not, but still. 6200lb class has the most potential for a diesel to walk away w/ $$$. 7200lb has the most diesel competition. Still a don't have the DMAX # of pullers like the other brands so come on if you can. June 22 is the street pull. June 23 is the sanctioned "big" pull...SS tractors & 4x4 trucks.

My Reg Cab came in @ 6140lbs with...
33" Sport Kings on 16.5x9.75 12 hole wheels
1/2 tank of fuel
no spare tire
and me not in it
I also do not have a tool box, bed mat, 5th wheel, DMI bumper, brush guard, or other add ons that would add weight.

This year will be different. My lift supposedly added 150lbs. So unless a tailgate and a battery removed can make up for it, I'll be in the 7200lb class. I don't know if they are weighing w/ driver or not this time.

I'm going to the scale at co-op later today.

My truck is fat. I weigh in at 8476 with transfer tank full, 8240 with it empty. I could slim it by a few hundred more if I wnated to take the time.
