Anyone switched to aftermarket brakes (ie:such as SSBC's)?
Good, bad, uglies?...pics?
With all the HP out there, will the stock binders hold up?
More of a general question for the members out there.

SSBC has a 14" rotor, 3 piston setup for the front brakes. You have to run 18" or larger wheels tho.

Wilwood also has a 16" rotor front/rear setup, but you have to run 20" wheels minimum.

Most people here seem to be getting better than 60K before doing any brakes. So OEM's appear fine.

do a search, this was covered not long ago..

Factory brakes are great unless going to extreme wheel/tire sizes in which case you'll need about $4000 more greenbacks...it's your $$$

when my factory brakes wear out I might look into doing aftermarket front brakes. Maybe the SSBC "short stop" kit which gives you slotted front rotors and new 3-piston calipers. Not as expensive as their full on 14" rotor complete replacement kit, but definetly better than stock. With 18" wheels and 33" tires I definetly notice a difference from stock wheel/tire braking...
