If anyone could post some pics of how the heater hoses connect to the block/firewall in a stock 6.2 gm application it would be much appreciated-- As I continue to hook up my 6.2/1993 range rover interface, I'm trying to get as much of the range rover equipment to function with the new engine as possible- unfortunately, I never had the liberty of seeing my 6.2 while it was in a chevy truck. Thanks.

I've got a couple pics that should help... :) I have to resize them, so give me a minute... ):h

I don't have a pic of where they connect to the heater core, but that doesn't matter since you will have to connect them wherever your heater core is.

Ignore my dirty old engine... It's definitely not the cleanest one around... ):h

The only thing you are going to get from these pictures is the location of the heater hose fitting on the engine. Everything else is going to be different on your installation. Just route a line from the fitting on the crossover pipe to the heater core and another line from the heater core to a fitting on the radiator. I don't know what you will be using for a radiator... If it is the stock 6.2 radiator the fitting will be where it is in the picture... Otherwise... :confuzeld

Hope this helps! :)

Aww... I was afraid that went to the radiator... and I just finished mounting my sweet new aluminum fancy shmancy radiator a couple days ago. Is there any plugs on the intake or some other place I could maybe plumb that line that isn't gonna fit anywhere on my radiator?

P.S. thanks for the quick pics

Hmmm. I don't know... You might be able to hook it up at the water pump, but I don't know how well that would work. I know there are different places you can hook it up, but sometimes it changes the way the engine cools... Hard to say.

The other thing you could do would be cut out a section of one of the radiator hoses and put a piece of metal tubing in there. Drill it and tap it for a 5/8" OD hose fitting (I think it's 5/8", anyway), install the fitting, and clamp the hose onto that. I don't know how well that would hold up, though...

I'm sure somebody one here has a good solution...
