I'm considering after my wifes GranPrix with 45k+or- mi. has had to have the Dex cool sytem flushed twice due to breakdown of fluid (slowly turning to red powder) although the gravity test(or whatever it is called said it was o.k.) Im just dont like the stuff and and it seems to breakdown to fast.
I have not seen any break down on the DMax though, So should I say "if it aint broke, don't fix it????"

What Say Ye?

I think George with AVLube has a bunch of experience with this stuff. Some engine designs leave air interfaces which cause the problem. Supposedly, our DMAXs don't have that issue and can be bleed to get all of the air out.

My 93 Z28 with 150,000 on it hasn't had any issues either.

My ex had a monte carlo that it broke down bad. I had to flush every day for week (she would take to work and flush at night). I have installed the filter on my dmax because of it. I will flush it out on the first change.
