Hello to all the DMAX owners. I am new to this forum and would like to know what power levels with what sucess you guy are haveing with a similar setup as mine. I have an 06 cc sb GMC with the LBZ 6Sp Allison The truck is mostly stock with the only mods of a ppe xcellerator, amsoil front rear and 285 bfg on stockers. I have been driving it with about 8k miles on the 75hp tune and put the 165 tune to it to see it what it would do. After a few days to let the trans get aqainted I stomped it until 3rd gear high egt and WOW! I would like to keep running like this but would like to know what I need to do to it to keep the trans alive. Trango jr and mbrp 4" exhaust on order. Thanks and this is a great forum.!
Anybody running the ppe on 165hp with stock 6spd ally?

Your clutches and torque convertor will not survive long with that tune. Anything over 90hp is pushing it.
